Worst Nightmare Realized

It all started with an unsettling here chill down my spine. I tried to ignore it, but the feeling only worsened. A sense of impending doom, like a creeping shadow, began to consume me. I knew in my gut, with a certainty, that something was terribly wrong. An icy terror gripped me, and I couldn't shake the feeling that this was more than just a bad dream.
